Burnthut takes its name from the ski run
'Burnthut Spur' on Mt Buller, Australia.
Before it became a resort, the mountain was remote and largely untouched. In the 1920s, the first skiers were true pioneers, navigating rough tracks on foot and carrying everything they needed.
They built and used simple huts for shelter. One of the earliest was a small cattleman’s hut built by the Lovick family in 1919. It was lost to fire in 1925, giving Burnthut Spur its name.

How we're inspired by the pioneers
How we're inspired by
the pioneers
The terrain today is different. Complex organisations, markets and decisions shaped by rapid technological change.
We are business builders who:
• see possibility where there is no obvious path
• progress through action, not perfection
• endure uncertainty
• start simple and improve over time
• treat setbacks as part of the process
We work with leaders and organisations to see possibility where others don’t, simplify complexity and build momentum.
